New Hampshire Ski Area

The whole area consists of a number of excellent slopes connected by shuttle and offers superb skiing across a variety or ski resorts as below, though with Loon,Waterville,Cannon,Cranmore and Bretton Woods being on just one ski pass.Offering about the quickest access to skiing America from the UK, being 2.5 hours from Boston, the area is popular with the Europeans who want to sample skiing in friendly America at great prices and with a relatively short flight.Geared mainly for beginners and intermediates there is something for everyone and reviews we have had back confirm this.Families,school kids,groups all have a great time sampling some excellent skiing and American hospitality.The shopping and maybe a night in Boston both are welcome options for that unique and special trip across the Atlantic. 



Attitash Mountain Resort located in the White Mountains offers 300 acres and 67 runs across two big, connected mountains that combine traditional New England runs and challenging terrain with modern, wide-open cruisers suited for all abilities. There are also acres of glades and tree skiing and one of New Hampshires original progressive freestyle terrain parks.

Bretton Woods

Located in the panoramic White Mountains of New Hampshire. The resort offers over 400 skiable acres of slopes, 9 lifts and 102 runs and also accesses 30 acres of backcountry glades.Fantastic scenery and great family programmes make this a hit and fun for everyone in a world class destination.

Cannon Mountain

Cannon Mountain is a 4100 foot (1250 m) peak within Franconia Notch State Park and has the most vertical of any ski area in New Hampshire. The resort offers 264 skiable acres,60 runs and 9 lifts.In addition there is Tuckerbrook which is a completely separated family area with 13 runs built just for families and learning,which sets this apart from learning in Europe.Mainly greens and blues to help you smile and cruise.The new area of Mittersill offers the expert amongst you some lift assisted back country off piste skiiing.A ski mountain for everyone, with mountain grooming at its highest level.


Located in North Conway, this is one of New Hampshires most successful ski resorts with 54 runs, 10 lifts and 200 skiable acres. Check out the Cranmore Mountain Coater that is located at the base of Cranmore Mountain and adjacent to the South Quad chairlift.Very popular too is the state of the art childrens centre where you will see considerable improvement in your childrens abilities in the snow.

Loon Mountain

Loon Mountain ski resort community is located in the White Mountain National Forest offering some of the best skiing in New Hampshire with over 2000ft of vertical. Located just over two hours away from the Boston Area, this resort welcomes skiers and snowboarders every year to enjoy the beauty of Loon Mountain and its 352 skiable acres, 49 runs and 12 lifts.Here you are assured normally of great snow, steep moguls,long cruisers and tree skiing.Everything to suit everyone.Great snowboarding park too.Snownmaking covers all the terrain when nature is not as benevolent and again we get great feedback from everyone skiing or boarding here.Plenty of good accommodation and dining options too.

Waterville Valley

Family oriented resort in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest. In addition to downhill skiing with 260 skiable acres and 52 runs, the resort offers 70 km of nordic skiing.Great town square shops and quaint buildings.


Wildcat has the most continuous vertical of any ski area in the White Mountains, and is the closest ski area to backcountry ski mecca Tuckerman Ravine. There are spectacular views of Mount Washington.Offers 225 skiable acres over 50 ski runs.
