Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) began life as a ski resort in 1965 and was recently ranked the number one ski area in the USA three times in a row by Forbes Magazine.Located in Wyoming, with a Teton mountain range backdrop, it is now one of North America's foremost resorts with annual snowfalls of up to 15m. Over the last decade, Jackson Hole has invested heavily in new facilities, lifts and terrain upgrades aimed at intermediates to augment the steep and deep it has for experts. Last year, readers of America's Ski Magazine ranked the resort top in three significant categories: overall satisfaction, character and most challenging terrain. It was also voted the sixth best overall resort in North America, its highest ranking ever.Sold on it yet?

The 2015 ski season saw the opening of a major new lift, the Teton high-speed quad chair plus a new restaurant, the Piste Mountain Bistro, added to the recently opened Off-Piste Market gourmet grab-and-go eatery in the lower level of the Rendezvous Lodge, at the top of the Bridger Gondola.More money is being spent on improvements to ensure this resort maintains its cult status

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort really consists of 2 areas, Jackson and Teton. The cowboy town of Jackson, 12 miles to the south east, offer most of the great places to stay at and at prices you will like.Teton Village is basically a horseshoe-shaped community of shops, lodgings and resort admin offices planted snugly at the base of the ski area, alongside the iconic Cable Car or Tram where you might occasionally see a meandering moose and the more recently constructed Bridger Gondola.Teton is a charming resort, rather dwarfed by the huge, slopeside Four Seasons Hotel. You can get to pretty much everywhere on foot and there is everything you could need for your holiday in the village and enough restaurants to enable you to try a different one each night.

Jackson itself is more out of a Western film set with wooden walkways and boards and provides a vibrant nightlife and apres ski option to Teton. The best value accommodation is found here with more choices from the Parkway Inn to the Snake River Lodge and definitely the place to be for after ski fun whereas Teton is more for those wanting ski in ski out options. We can help find you the ideal condo, hotel or catered chalet to suit.

A ski holiday to Jackson Hole is well worth the long trip over the Atlantic and coupled with a day at Grand Targhee will certainly make your visit extremely memorable, for all the right reasons.
