Winter Park is a well respected and popular choice for skiers and boarders alike. The resort is relatively less known compared to many of Colorado's other ski resorts despite the fact that is the oldest resort in Colorado. Being just 90 minutes though from Denver, with a fantastic snow record, Winter Park offers excellent value for money and offers over 200km of terrain

.

The ski area consists of seven distinct areas, those being Winter Park, Mary Jane, Vasquez Ridge, Parsenn Bowl, Eagle Wind, The Terrain Park, and The Cirque. A complete network of trails and chairlifts connects all of them. Mary Jane is more advanced and renowned for her moguls. Intermediates and advanced skiers are really well catered for and beginners will love the acclaimed ski school and ease of getting around. As it is particularly family friendly more and more families are discovering what all the fuss is about and we have noticed an increased number of schools coming over to ski Winter Park.

Winter Park over the last few years has seen substantial development and with the building of an attractive new resort village with new bars, restaurants and shops and new condominium properties, to augment the town itself, Winter Park has firmly established its credentials as a top notch winter destination. Nightlife is definitely more relaxed but it works perfectly for families who just want convenience and good value with excellent accommodation to go back to.

Winter Park accommodation centres around condos or apartments and the best of these are gathered around the bottom of the Zephyr lift, which is the main lift to start from. There are some good value hotel options either a ski lift, such as the Vintage Resort or short shuttle ride away, such as Winter Park Mountain Lodge. We also have a number of larger private homes and catered chalets that work well for groups of 6 or more. The town of Winter Park is a couple of miles down the road and in addition has some very affordable lodging condo and hotel choices.

If going for 2 weeks a Winter Park Ski Holiday works well as a 2 centre ski holiday with Steamboat which shares a ski pass or possibly Copper Mountain. You could also maybe look at a stopover in Los Angeles for Universal Studios and Disneyland, or nearby Las Vegas,New York or even Iceland on the way back. With terrific snow sure skiing and good value accommodations this will perhaps be your most memorable ski holiday

Customer Reviews of Winter Park Ski Resort, Colorado

We have 2 review's for Winter Park Ski Resort, Colorado.

"Well its thanks to you that I now have to take more of the family and friends to Winter Park and Beaver Village. You understated the quality of these accommodations compared to europe, which were huge and well equipped.I wasnt sure what to expect, but the skiing(and boarding) was far superior to anything we have done in France and we just had the best trip ever, spoilt by the wife spending too much in the outlets! Thanks soo much and we are coming back in 2012."

"We went to Winter Park, thanks to you,Feb half term for a week. The rates you gave us were so good compared to Europe. We had to go.Now you have 6 more commited US skiers.Fantastic conditions and apartment at Beaver village and great shopping.Far less people on the slopes than Europe so skiing was such a pleasue and not a chore. The best holiday we have had to date.Thanks."
